Below you will find the portfolio of André Crone. This portfolio contains images taken all over the world. We love producing stories about colder destinations like Arctic Russia or Antarctica, but this portfolio also contains many of the more popular warmer diving destinations. We do have background, traveling or biological articles available in Dutch or English about all the destinations that are shown in our portfolio. Please contact us if you are interested in using our images or articles. On request we can send you pdf versions of articles that we have produced in the past.
We have many thousands of images in our stock. This portfolio only shows a sub selection of these images. Our stock always contains more destinations and images than show below. That is because that we are continuously working on new productions. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are looking for material that cannot be found in our currently published portfolio on the website.

White Sea - Ice diving
For years we have been waiting for a suitable moment to go ice diving. Unfortunately circumstances have not been ideal in the western part of Europe for a decent ice dive. To increase our chances for a beautiful ice dive we take off to the northern part of Europe. Here we will have a guaranty for ice, cold and nice people.
Living on Feather Stars
For divers in tropical waters feather stars are a common sight. Almost all around the world feather stars bring colour to the under water environment. Despite its nice colours divers normaly do not pay too much attention to these animals. We are more likely to pay attention to all the fish around us; search for the bog animals and leave the feather stars on its own. We think of it as less interesting animals. But this means that we will miss a number of surprising meetings.
Living on a Sea Whip
We already made a lot of dives in tropical water. Diving the tropics has a magical attraction to us and a lot of other divers. During our tropical dives we already encountered lot of beautiful stuff. This time we see strangely formed “sticks” that move patiently with the swell. Not really exciting objects to stand still with we think. No, we rather swim further to that school off fish or to that beautiful wreck. Until the time we have a dive guide that will stop to watch these “sticks”. He defines them to us as sea whips.
Living on Sand
During our last dives all we saw was sand. Where have we ended up this time? No colorful reefs, no beautiful coral gardens, only dull looking sand. This is not what we expected for this trip. We heard many enthusiastic stories from other divers about these dive sites. Could it be that diving on a sandy bottom is really worthwhile? We decided to rely on our guide and continued diving. Fortunately for the next couple of weeks we realized that there really are a lot of different animals living on sandy bottoms. The only thing to do is watch out for them very carefully.
Minke Whales
For many divers it is a dream to have the possibility to dive with whales. So when we heard that each year in the months June and July a large number of dwarf minke whales swim along the Great Barrier Reef in Australia our interest was raised. We decided that we would go and examine this phenomenon with our own eyes and went off to Australia.
White Sea
In the White Sea a safety stop is seldom boring. At most places you can come up along the steep rocks while you enjoy the underwater landscape of plumose anemones. Don’t forget to look into the open water from time to time. Large free swimming jellyfishes with long white tentacles pass by on a regular basis. The jellyfishes are nice to see, but be careful that the tentacles don’t touch your face.
White Sea topside
Take a trip to the north of Russia to dive? For most people this doesn’t sound very attractive. Our friends immediately declared us insane. Travel to that scary, unfriendly and grey country? And even go diving there? But we went towards our adventure. And what we would find here, we could not have imagined. We arrived at the northwest of Russia and we stepped back in time. Friendly people welcomed us in their world. The Arctic water was cold but impressed us with a beautiful under water landscape. Travel along with us to this strange world and enjoy the beautiful underwater world!

Tawali
Tawali; stay in luxury at Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea is, after Greenland, the world's second largest island. It is an island of contrasts. Small islands, mountain peaks with tropical rain forest to about 5000 meters, primitive mountain villages and beautiful resorts. Everything is available on the island The island is divided into two parts. The western part belongs to Indonesia and is perhaps better known as Irian Jaya or West Papua. The eastern part of the island is Papua New Guinea, which is divided into eighteen different provinces.
